Rich tributes paid to Hazrat Ali on his birth anniversary

Telangana State Legislative Council chairman Swamy Goud paid glowing homage to Hazrat Ali, called as Moula Ali by the Shia Community on the occasion of his 1469th Birth Anniversary, celebrated here last evening.

 

Speaking at a Seminar held at Kotla Ali Jah in Old City by the Seerat Zehra Committee he said that the city of Hyderabad, named after Hazrat Ali is the cradle of love and peace and an icon of National Integration. The teachings of Ali are still a light House for the humanity. He said that the celebrations promote national integration and communal harmony. The

 

A grand procession, led by Ali Raza, President of the Society,   was taken out from Kotla Ali Jah in old city to Moula Ali in RR District. Accompanied by camels, horses, motor cars and motor bikes the procession passed through main thoroughfares of the Hyderabad and Secunderabad and reached Moula Ali amidst welcome at various places by the devotees.

 

Earlier, Ali Raza in his speech said that the procession was founded by his late father Abul Hassan Tabrizi 70 years back and since then it was being taken out. Mass Lunch was arranged by the Committee on this occasion. Syed Hashim Razvi, Chairman Reception Committee received the guests and   gathering.

 

Eminent personalities and   Shia Ulama addressed the gathering. Poets paid rich tributes to Hazrat Ali. (INN)
