Ringing Bells ropes in Sunny Leone for loyalty card programme

New Delhi: Ringing Bells, the Noida-based firm that ran into controversy after announcing a Rs 251 smartphone, today said it has roped in Bollywood actor Sunny Leone to promote its loyalty card program.

The company had come under the scanner of multiple agencies following complaints of non-delivery and non-viability of selling a smartphone at such a low price, though Ringing Bells has been claiming that everything is in order.

In a statement, the company said that “it has roped in Sunny Leone to promote its recently announced loyalty card programme. The selfie events will be held in Dehradun, Meerut on 8th November, and Kanpur and Agra on 9th November.”

Only loyalty card holders will be permitted entry to the venues and 10 lucky winners will get a chance to click selfies with Leone.

The company launched its loyalty card early this month. Loyalty cards of Rs 500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 can be purchased on its website, which also has a cash on delivery option.

The loyalty card membership will be valid for one year and customers will get 5 per cent, 10 per cent and 15 per cent discount on buying Ringing Bells products with cards of Rs 500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000, respectively.

“The main objective of this contest is to make our customers feel special and appreciate their association with us.

“We have so far delivered 100,000 Freedom 251 smartphones apart from various other models of mobile phones and Freedom 9,900 HD LED TV,” a Ringing Bells spokesperson said.

The company recently launched a 31.5 inch HD LED TV priced at Rs 9,900.
