PV Sindhu, pride of India and daughter of Telangana soil, who clinched a silver medal with her meticulous golden performance in Rio Olympics is all set to get a rousing reception on her return to city on Monday morning.
The Government was making all arrangements to give her a thumping welcome for creating record at international arena. This was stated by Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav at a press conference here. He praised Sindhu for clinching the Olympics Silver and asked the youth to follow her to win such medals. The government was ready to support youth in a big way to shine at national and international levels, he maintained.
Srinivas Yadav appealed to youth and fans to make the rally a success by turning up in huge numbers. GHMC is getting ready to rain flowers on Sindhu en route giving a resonant reception from Shamshabad International Airport to Gachibowli Stadium, Pullela Gopichand Academy at Hitech city. Also the Youth and sports Minister Padma Rao Goud, Tourism secretary B Venkatesham, Gopichand and others are returning on Monday. The welcome rally will be taken up from Shamshabad, Aramghar, Mehdipatnam, Toli Chowki to reach the destination at high-tech city. (NSS)
