Rs 4.80 cr released for Iftar on June 18: Talasani

To mark the holy occasion of Ramzan, the State Government has made elaborate arrangements to conduct Ifthar Party at LB Stadium on June 18. The Government has released Rs 4.80 cr for conducting Ifthar Party for Ramzan in the twin cities and each mosque will get Rs 1 lakh.

This was stated by Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav after a meeting with Masjid Committee president and secretary and officials concerned. He held discussions with them on the arrangements for the Ramzan festival and Ifthar party being offered by the State government.

The minister said the government aims to celebrate Ramzan amid enthusiasm and brotherhood and reflect communal amity. Yadav said they have released Rs 4.80 cr for 432 mosques to conduct Ifthar party. Each mosque will get 500 gift packs worth Rs 2,16,000 on June 16, he said. The Government wants that the Muslim people celebrate the festival in a pleasant and grand manner, he said. “We have taken up several development programs for the holy festival, he said.
