RTC unions demand pay arrears


The Telangana RTC Unions have sounded strike siren demanding the Corporation to pay the arrears immediately.

The RTC Unions JAC served strike notice to RTC Joint Managing Director Ramana Rao at Bus Bhavan here on Monday. Employees Union, National Mazdoor Union and seven other Unions’s leaders have met Ramana Rao and served strike notice with 14 demands. They mentioned the notice that the Corporation has to solve their demands before May 28. They warned the RTC management that they will take up strike from May 29 onwards in case the management failed to solve their demands.

Other major demands include Complete the division process of the RTC; curb the private buses illegal plying; The government has to release Rs.75crore to RTC every month as per Chief Minister’s assurance. (NSS)
