The Congress today announced that former MP Siricilla Rajaiah will be its candidate for the Warangal Lok Sabha by-election on November 21.
Party general secretary Janardhan Trivedi announced this to mediapersons this afternoon. He said the party had short-listed three names and all were former MPs — G Vivek, S Rajaiah and Surve Sathyanarayana — and selected Rajaiah’s name. A local candidate, Rajaiah lost in the last election by a margin of 3.96 lakh margin to TRS candidate Kadiam Srihari. Rajaiah was Waramgal MP during the 2009-2014 term. (NSS)
