Sasikala sent to jail: Top ten highlights of TN political crisis

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India]: All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary V.K. Sasikala Natarajan was on Wednesday sent to Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara jail.

V.K. Sasikala reached Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara jail in a big convoy to surrender before the court.

She requested court to provide A class cell, medical facility and place for meditation.

Sasikala’s sister-in-law Ilavarasi, also convicted by the top court, traveled with her from Chennai to Bengaluru.

Sources said that after medical check up, V.K.Sasikala and Illaverasi appeared before judge, third convict Sudhakaran has not yet reached court.

The registrar of Karnataka High Court ordered shifting of court to Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara jail.

TTV Dhinakaran was appointed as the Deputy General Secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).

AIADMK MLA S.S. Saravanan has filed abduction case against Sasikala. The Madurai legislator filed the complained at Koovathur Police Station in Kanchipooram under the Section 342, 343, 365, 353 & 503 (1) of the Indian Penal Code.

V.K. Sasikala paid floral tribute at late J. Jayalalithaa’s memorial at Chennai’s Marina beach before heading to Bengaluru. She also visited the MGR Memorial House in T Nagar.

Citing health condition, Sasikala asked the apex court to allow some time to present herself in Bengaluru for imprisonment.

The apex court has rejected Sasikala’s plea seeking more time to surrender before Bengaluru court and asked her to surrender immediately.(ANI)
