In Saudi Arabia Ramadan starts tomorrow; Moon sighting committee meeting in Hyd. today

Hyderabad: Ramadan starts in Saudi Arabia tomorrow since Moon was not sighted yesterday. Astronomist, Khalid, member of the Arab Union for Astronomy tweeted that in the entire Islamic world, Moon was not sighted on Thursday. It was therefore, decided that the 1st “Roza” will be on Saturday.

In Hyderabad, the central Moon sighting committee will hold its meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at Husaini Building, Mauzzam Jahi Market under the chairmanship of Maulana Qubool Pasha Suttari. If anybody sights the Moon, he may inform the committee up to 8 p.m. at phone number 04024603597 and after 8 p.m. at phone numbers 04024576832, 04024513246, 04024521088, 9391964951, 9885074220, 9885151354, 9000008138, 9949656226.

In case of Moon sighting today, Ramadan will start tomorrow otherwise on Sunday in India.
