Saudi student of Indian origin placed as global finalist for Google Science Fair

Hyderabad: Master Zain Ahmed Samdani student of 11th STD from Al Yasmin International School, Riyadh has been selected one of the Global Finalist @ Google Science Fair for a scholarship of USD 50,000.00. Zain created an ExoHeal: Utilizing neuroplasticity to provide rehabilitation to stroke patients and cure hand paralysis.

Zain is the son of a Projects Manager, Zubair Ahmed working in Riyadh.

The aim of his project is to design and develop a precise, compact, light-weight and a portable solution, with independent motion on each phalange in order to potentially cure hand paralysis and provide rehabilitation to stroke patients and those with muscular degenerative diseases.

Finally this prodigy will be visiting US for the prize announcement ceremony on September 27.

Zain was the finalist in Sony Creative Science Award Program 2012. He won the Best International Performance award in India’s Biggest Robotics Championship and also won second Prize in the CBSE Cluster Meet Science Project Competition.
