Sayeedabad tense after Muslim youth attacked by miscreants

Hyderabad: Some miscreants attacked Muslim youth leaving him seriously injured. The incident sparked tension in Dr. Zakir Husain Colony, Sayeedabad on Wednesday.

According to sources, 22-year-old, Mohammed Anas Khan S/O Mohammed Ayyub Khan was going towards Masjid Qutub Shahi for Isha prayers, when the gang of miscreants present there gheraoed him and assaulted him without any reason.

Sources told that tension gripped the same area last month also during installation of Dr. B R Ambedkar statue. The attack is believed to be in connection with the incident. Injured Anas Khan suffered fracture on nose who has been shifted to a private corporate hospital. The incident sparked tension in the area. Police called additional force.

Miscreants have also lodged complaint against the youth saying they were being targeted in the name of caste. Miscreants also allegedly misbehaved with youth’s mother.

Police have registered a case and manhunt is on for the miscreants. Injured youth’s mother told press persons that miscreants had been threatening the youth for one week. She claimed that youth’s life is in danger hence he should be provided security.
