New Delhi: The Supreme Court today declined the request of hearing on former Calcutta High Court judge, Justice C S Karnan, seeking bail and recall of its earlier order.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar refused to give any relief to Justice Karnan (now retired).
Advocate Mathew J Nwdumbara appeared for Justice Karnan.
Justice Karnan has requested the apex court to recall it’s seven-judge bench order in which the court has found him guilty of contempt and sentenced him to six months’ imprisonment.
Justice Karnan who had been recently been arrested in pursuance of the apex court order had requested the court for an early listing of his bail application, to which the court has refused.
