SCCL funds installation of CCTV cameras in Old City

The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) joined hands with  Hyderababd City Police  in  the Community CCTV project.

The Singareni Collieries Company Limited has given financial assistance of Rs 50 Lakhs for installation of 80 CCTV cameras at Hussaini Alam Police Station of Old City areas of Hyderabad as a part of CCTV surveillance system under its Corporate Social Responsibility and community Develpment Inititative.

The CCTV cameras were inaugurated Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy and SCCL CMD N. Sridhar at Hussaini Alam police station on Wednesday.

The Government of Telangana have initiated a series of measures to upgrade the quality of life in the Capital City of Hyderabad with an objective to transform Hyderabad City into a Global City and Hyderabad City Police into a Global City Police.

All Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been requested to join hands with the Government and the Police Department in this endeavor to make Hyderabad a crime free City by supporting the Community CCTV Surveillance Project in old city areas of Hyderabad through a favorable consideration under CSR initiative.

The  Hyderabad City Police has taken up this initiative to involve and encourage all PSUs to adopt communities in terms of Police Stations and sponsor the implementation of CCTV Surveillance System on behalf of the Community in the  old city  areas. The Old City consists of jurisdiction covered by about 30 Police Stations requiring a budget of about Rs.45 Crores for coverage of the entire area under CCTV Surveillance System. (INN)
