Maulana Azad National Urdu University has take one more step towards linking Urdu medium of education with the Science, when the Science Laboratories were declared operational today for undergraduate students. University with the mandate to equip Urdu speaking population of the country with conventional & modern knowledge, introduced physical & life sciences at U.G. level two years back.
Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice Chancellor, inaugurated the labs in the presence of teachers & students. Later, addressing a gathering he underscored the need to make available course material in Urdu. This is pre-requisite for introduction of M.Sc., he made it clear. Students passing out from MANUU at undergraduate level shall equally be well versed in English, so that they could pursue higher education in other prominent institutions also.
He stressed the need for maximum utilization of available facilities to optimize the output. Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Registrar, Prof. P. F. Rahman, Dean, School of Sciences, Prof. Najmul Hasan, Dean, Academics and others were also present.
