Security to Chandrababu raised

The Police Department has increased the security to the Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the context of Maoist Party warnings. Already Chandrababu was enjoying the NSG security.

From now onwards, five additional SPs would supervise Chandrababu’s security and increased the police personnel number upto 290. The security will be continued in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The Andhra Pradesh Home Department took this decision after the discussion. After the Cabinet’s nod, the finance department issued a G.O. in this regard and gave green signal to 290 posts to Chief Minister Security Group (CMSG).

The breakup of the security staff—Additional SPs(5), DSPs (7), police (148). Already 196 police personnel were there in the CMSG and the number will become 486 after the inclusion of 290 new posts. (NSS)
