Sensex gains over 150 points in morning trade session

Mumbai: A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex), on Thursday made healthy gains during the early morning session.

It was trading with gains of over 150 points or 0.55 percent.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading in the positive territory.

It was up 38.20 points or 0.46 percent at 8,413.25 points.

The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 27,685.82 points, was trading at 27,713.75 points (9.25 a.m.) in the early session, up 150.32 points or 0.55 percent from the previous day’s close at 27,563.43 points.

The Sensex so far touched a high of 27,724.45 points and a low of 27,649.97 points in the intra-day trade.
