WASHINGTON: The tennis star and world’s number one athlete, Serena Williams got engaged to her boyfriend Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of the social media company Reddit.
Williams made the announcement on Reddit saying “Future Mrs. Kn0thing”and features a cartoon version of Ohanian on one knee, offering a cartoon version of Williams a huge diamond.

The lovebirds were in a relationship since October 2015. There engagement left many social media users in shock that Serena would marry a white man. Ohanian is of Armenian and German descent.
Some said that Williams would no longer be seen as a role model for young black women because the man she got engaged to is white.
