Hyderabad: Maren Mantovani, International Coordinator of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement which works to end international support for Israel’s oppression of Palestinians and pressure Israel to comply with international law, paid rich tributes to the services of Mr. Syed Viqaruddin Chairman Indo-Arab League, Hyderabad working for the cause of Palestine. She called on Mr. Syed Viqaruddin at his residence on October 31, 2016 and apprised him of the activities and services of BDS.
Maren Mantovani is also international outreach coordinator of the Stop the Wall Campaign and the Palestinian Land Defense Coalition.
She told that not only Muslims but people belonging to all religions have joined struggle for restoration of Palestinian land. European Union is also supporting Palestinian cause. She equated current policies of Govt. of India to Israeli policy.
Dr. Mir Akber Ali Khan, Captain Pandu Ranga Reddy, Mr. Syed Jaleel Ahmed advocate, Omer Ahmed Shafeeq, Dr. Mohiuddin Habeebi, Dr. Syed Fazil Husain Parvez, Jameel Ahmed Khan and Mr. Khaleequr Rahman were also present on the occasion.
