Set up centre of discovery: Abdul Kalam’s brother to Delhi CM

New Delhi: A P J M Maraikayar, an elder brother of former President A P J Abdul Kalam, has urged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to set up ‘Kalam National Centre for Knowledge Discovery’ in the capital in his memory.

“Dr Kalam had a personal library, students’ interaction hall where he used to meet a number of students on regular basis, meeting room and technology interaction room at No 10, Rajaji Marg, New Delhi.

“May we request that Government of New Delhi, under your able leadership, may set up ‘Kalam National Centre for Knowledge Discovery’ in New Delhi,” Maraikayar said in his letter to Kejriwal.

He also said this centre may be used for a different purpose of higher and continuing education and research for school students and youths who can study the sustainable development systems for making India great through his books and other resources.

Delhi Toursim Minister Kapil Mishra said he has convened a high-level meeting in his office tomorrow on the issue.
