Settle land disputes: CM tells officials

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the officials to settle land disputes on an urgent basis. Departments should coordinate for speedy disposal of cases and help the government use it for welfare activities, he said. During a review meeting on court cases pertaining to land cases and disputes here, KCR stressed the need for protecting the government lands from grabbers and encroachments.

Attributing the land encroachments to the negligence of previous governments, he said that recovery of the same will help government use for people welfare. It is bad luck that the previous government instead of protecting the lands supported the grabbers at some places in the city and elsewhere. Telangana Government could protect ENT land from grabbers and recovered from Botanical Garden he said and asked the officials to coordinate to recover the land from encroachers. (NSS)
