On Thursday, the SHE teams and Cyber Crime Police here arrested one Kalakanda Madhu, 33, alias Srinivas, at Sai Nagar colony in Nagole for allegedly abusing and outraging modesty of women.
According to Addl. Commissioner of Police, Crimes and SIT, Hyderabad, the accused was earlier involved in similar cases under limits of various police stations. The accused, who was working as Manager Food Corporation of India, Haka Bhavan, was under suspension since eight months. He came to Hyderabad on transfer in 2011 and luring innocent unmarried girls in the name of educational counselling. He used to introduce himself as an educational consultant and used to call the girls frequently to meet him at some place directed by him. He used to take them to his rented room at Sriram Nagar, Bandlaguda, Nagole and make sexual advances. He used to blackmail girls stating that he would upload their photos in the social media forcing them to surrender. The police said steps were being taken to book him under the PD Act. They also recovered one CPU, one lap top, one lap top hard disc and 19 mobile phones along with SIM cards, four registers/ledgers and two bikes.
Addl. Commissioner of Police has advised women folk, especially teenage girls to be careful while talking to strangers. They should not follow the instructions of unknown persons and should inform their parents immediately, he added.
SHE Teams Hyderabad headed by SIs Laxman Naik, Rudvir Kumar and their team along with K.V.M. Prasad, Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime, CCS, Hyderabad cracked this case under supervision of Addl. Dy.
