Shabbir Ali Flays KCR on his Luxurious House, Forgetting Poll Promises

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council,  Mohammed Ali Shabbir today said that it was a morally incorrect and insensitive  act of  Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao  to move into a posh new bungalow  built without fulfilling the poll promise of  double bed rooms to the poor and while  people were suffering due to ‘Note ban and change crisis’  in the state .

Addressing  reporters at the  CLP office  along with   Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, MLC, Shabbir Ali questioned KCR where was  his  promise and  commitment to build 2.6 lakh  double Bed room houses for urban ( One lakh) and rural (1.6 lakh) poor in the state  . Instead of fulfilling that promise to poor who voted him to power,  the chief minister was busy in House warming ceremony of his  new  five star bungalow  spread over  One lakh SFT and with a  ‘bullet proof toilet and bedrooms ‘.

Quoting from his October 27 letter to KCR on the issue of luxury camp office, Shabbir Ali said the promises made in the TRS election manifesto were not fully implemented till now,  while the TRS  leaders were busy in their personal aggrandizement and promotion .The brand new CM’s bungalow  within 2-1/2 years or rule is a fitting example to showcase that  the TRS  was deceiving the people  and was  blind to their suffering and hardships  .

He said  the Chief Minister was performing  house warming ceremony of his bullet proof bungalow tomorrow  when the  four crore  people of Telangana  are hard pressed and suffering due to ban on Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes . This is just like Roman emperor Nero singing when  Rome was burning, he said .

Referring to   ‘bullet proof toilets and also bed rooms’ he  questioned whether the CM was scared of public fury and uproar over the misdeeds of his Government in the last 2-1/2 years. He said  Chief Minister  had  unnecessarily  demolished part of the  old CM’s bungalow  constructed  during the Congress regime, in the name of Vastu compliance .      Shabbir Ali  appealed to the  Governor   E S L Narasimhan  to abstain  from attending  house warming ceremony of  KCR which was both  un- constitutional and  anti –secular and direct  KCR to focus more on  welfare of  poor and development of the state  rather than display of such lavish and luxurious living  at cost of people’s money.
