Shabbir alleges Venkaiah-TRS deal, demands apology to people

Leader of the Opposition in the  Telangana Legislative  Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today dubbed IT Minister K T Rama Rao as a  ‘Joota and Fareb” and follows ‘Loot and Scoot’ policy. He also alleged KTR brokered deal in purchase of 300 Toyoto cars for Telangana Police department through Harsh Motors, owned by BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu’s son.

Speaking at Assembly Media Point today, Shabbir defended the charge made by former Union minister Jairam Ramesh.that KTR had influenced the government to purchase 300 Toyota vehicles for the police department without calling for tenders. He said KTR had denied the allegation saying he had no role in the deal as the vehicles were purchased at the price fixed by DGS&D (Director General Supply and Disposal). KTR also denied links with the Himanshu Motors which he had closed seven years ago, Shabbir Ali said.

Shabbir also said TRS and BJP honeymooning was exposed by a grant of Rs 2.20 crore tax exemption given “clandestinely” for the NGO  Swarna Bharati belonging to Venkaiah Naidu’s daughter Deepa. “KTR  has no  moral right to continue as minister. The TRS government was engaged in one scam after another and blaming the Congress for everything to divert public attention.

Shabbir Ali said the language used by KTR had damaged the reputation of the democratic, elective and public post he occupied in Telangana government. (NSS)
