Shiv Sena’s poster posing Modi as “Dhongi” bowing before Bal Thackeray

In the wake of increasing tension between BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena released a poster showing Modi bowing before Bal Thackeray. This poster was put up by East Mumbai unit of Shiv Sena situated at Sena Bhavan in Dadar. Below this poster, the following lines are also written:

Did you forget your ‘dhong’ in those days when your proud neck used to bow to touch the feet of Bala Saheb Thackeray?”

BMC sources indicated that this poster has been removed. It may be noted that both the parties had developed tensions. As a result of which Shiv Sena had maintained distance with BJP just before the Assembly elections of Maharashtra. Despite this tensions and differences are on the increase between these two parties.

Shiv Sena had forced the Govt. to cancel Ghazal program of Pakistani Singer, Ghulam Ali in Mumbai and Pune. Later, the face of Sudhender Kulkarni was painted with black paint since he had refused to cancel the meeting with former External Affairs Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Khasuri. This intensified the tension between both the parties.

A close aide of Udhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena Chief disclosed that the party had not approved of this poster. Perhaps some irritated worker of Shiv Sena must have put this poster.
