‘Show courage, commit to no tickets for criminals’: Nitish tells PM Modi

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday fired yet another salvo at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking the latter to show courage and commit that no tickets would be given to criminals.

“Modiji you spoke passionately of decriminalizing politics, but conveniently forgot and did nothing in a year.

“No better place to start than from the land of Budhha. We commit no tickets to criminals. Now, show courage and commit to this in Bihar today,” he added.

Nitish had earlier taunted the Prime Minister, saying he leads a ‘Union Twitter Government’ that listens, acts and responds only on the social networking site.

His remarks come ahead of the Prime Minister’s high profile ‘parivartan’ rally in Bihar’s Gaya today.

The BJP, which along with its allies had won 31 of the 40 seats in Bihar in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, is set for a battle against a united Janata Parivar comprising of the JD (U) and RJD.
