Sikhs present sword to KCR

Nanded Gurudwara Board President sardar Thara Singh and Member Daljit Singh today presented Chief Minister K Chandraekhar Rao a traditional Sikh Sword and replica of Gurudwara at camp office here. They extended an invitation to KCR to attend a special program at Kuli Kutub Shahi Stadium in City on Oct 31. A Jagruti Yatra being conducted nation-wide will reach the city on Oct 31 to mark 350 birth anniversary of Guru Govind Singh to be held in January next they said.

Governor Secretary Hariprith Singh was also present in the meeting. Thara Singh said that Telangana Government is giving equal priority to all religions in the state. The people in the state are living in brotherhood and peaceful atmosphere he said. Thara Sing appreciated that only two cities in India have Mayors of Sikh community and extended thanks to KCR for appointing Ravinder Singh as Karimnagar Mayor. KCR promised to attend the program and wished it a grand success a release said.
