Hyderabad: TRS Parliament Member K Kavitha today stated that TRS victory in civic body elections proved that the people are extending support to the ruling party. She attributed the victory to the welfare schemes of the government. The results proved that the people are supporting the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, she said.
Accusing the opposition parties of making a hue and cry as the people discarded them, the TRS leader reiterated that the government is committed to keep all the promises made. The opposition parties which were routed out in the elections should mend their ways and rethink, she suggested. Else the opposition will not get even single digit seats in future elections, Kavitha opined. She also exuded confidence that similar results will be repeated in 2019 general elections in favour of the TRS party as the people have great faith on the welfare schemes. The 18 months rule of the TRS implemented many welfare schemes which were not implemented during past six decades, she claimed.
Reacting on the historic irrigation deal with Maharashtra, she said that Telangana state will be enveloped in greenery on completion of the projects. Many Telangana districts will receive drinking and irrigation waters with the pact, she added.(NSS)
