SI’s suicide case: Seven police officials transferred

Police higher officials have taken steps on seven police personnel, including Siddipet DSP Sridhar Goud in related to Kukunuru SI V Ramakrishna Reddy’s suicide. Director General of Police Anurag Sharm issued orders in this regard here on Saturday.

The DGP said in his orders that DSP, rural CI Venkataiah and CI Ramanjaneyulu will be attached to DGP office. ASI Prakash, head constables Muthyam, Sambani, constables Yadava Reddy and Nagi Reddy to be attached to Medak SP office.

On the other hand, deceased Ramakrishna Reddy’s family members met with Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and submitted a memorandum. Ramakrishna Reddy’s wife Dhanalaxmi demanded that the Home Minister initiate action against those responsible for the death of her husband. Dhanalaxmi alleged that DSP and CIs harassed her husband for mamools. The officials had mounted pressure on her husband to bear the expenditure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Gajwel. She urged the Home Minister to file a case under Section 306 on the police personnel, who caused death of her husband. (NSS)
