SIT arrests 10 more persons in Nayeem cases


The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Telangana police  have so far registered 72 cases against Nayeem and his gang members across the State.

During the process of investigation of cases against Nayeem gang, the SIT officers arrested 10 accused persons. The arrested accused persons are: Pootha Balakishan, Md. Akhil Pasha, Rapolu Sudarshan, Jukanti Buchaiah @ Bixapathi, Md. Khasimsab, Sudhakar, Venkatesh Advocate, Srinivas, Sridhar Raju and Mohd. Ashraf @ Ashu, brother-in-law of Nayeem.

According to SIT, the accused persons are involved in seven cases of kidnap and armed extortions, forcible registration of land and plots in Bhongir Town.

With the arrest of above persons, the SIT has so far arrested 77 persons in 72 cases registered in various Police Stations in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Khammam, Karimnagar and Ranga Reddy districts. Efforts are being continued to arrest the remaining gang members of Nayeem, the SIT said. (INN)
