Slap in the face for communal forces, Hindu teacher pawns jewellery to pay Muslim student’s fee

At a time when communal forces are busy dividing human beings on the basis of religion and caste; are slaughtering humans in the name of protection of animals. There are a few persons who are lighting the candle of humanity. One among them is a school teacher Mrs. Sri Devi. Lady teacher who imparts education to her students irrespective of religion, caste, colour and creed, has done a remarkable act which is indeed slap in the face of communal forces.

Mrs. Sri Devi pawned her jewellery to ensure admission of her poor student in Bhawan’s College. Thus she arranged one year fee of a Muslim boy. Impressed by her thoughtfulness and humanitarian gesture, Healing Hand lauded her remarkable act and presented her Rs 14000 as gift. In a short yet impressive function held at Siasat office News Editor Siasat Mr. Amer Ali Khan handed over the amount to Sri Devi and also felicitated her by presenting shawl. Secretary and Trustee Faiz-e-Aam Trust Mr. Iftekhar Husain and Managing Trustee Helping Hand Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza told that Helping Hand had donated Rs. 11500 for admission of eldest son of a Muslim auto driver residing in Maulali, in intermediate Course in Bhawan’s College. Now the boy is studying in inter second year. His parents approached Helping Hand for admission of his younger brother in Bhawan’s college. Since the elder brother was already getting aid they were made an excuse for further aid. However parents returned with Rs. 20000 the next day. Dr. Shaukat Mirza was surprised to learn that a Hindu lady teacher arranged the amount by pledging her jewellery.

Impressed by the humanitarian gesture of the Hindu teacher Mr. Iftekhar Husain Secretary Faiz-e-Aam Trust, Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza and Trustee Helping Hand Mr. Zaki Abbas Naser accepted the responsibility of paying Rs 23 thousand fee for each of the boys. Besides they also retrieved pawned jewellery of Mrs. Sri Devi by paying Rs. 27000.
