Slippers stood in line instead of people in Modi’s adopted village

Jayapur: In an unusual sight, different styles of slippers were seen in queue outside a bank instead of people.

According to reports in NDTV, the incident is from the PM Modi’s adopted Jayapur village in Varanasi Uttar Pradesh where villagers came to exchange and withdraw their money.

As per the reports mentioned, Sahrunissa, 55-year-old is struggling to get the cash since her 20 year old daughter Tajo is getting married on November 22. The mother-daughter duo were standing in line for hours to get at least Rs. 20,000 from their two Jan Dhan accounts.

Sahrunissa’s son, Zahid whose family’s daily income largely rely on cash find it difficult to meet the daily expenses.

“I don’t know if we’ll manage to do all this today. I am worried for my sister, “said the 15- year-old standing in line with his sister.
