Smart phone blues: Girl with earphones plugged in hit by train in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A girl crossing the railway tracks at Necklace Road was hit by a train on Sunday night. The 28-year-old, woman pharmacist had her earphones plugged in when the mishap occurred. The girl who was rushed to Osmania Hospital, got her two legs, up to the knees, severed in the accident.

According to sources M Swarna R/O Raj Bhavan quarters works as a pharmacist at a hospital in Ameerpet.

According to eye-witnesses, she was engrossed, either talking to someone or listening to music with earphones plugged in, when the train hit her. Engrossed in phone, she must have failed to notice an approaching train close to the railway station.
