Snapchat adds ‘face-swapping’ feature in new update

New York: Image messaging application software product Snapchat has added a new update, which allows the users to ‘face-swap’ with pictures in their camera roll.

The new feature allows the users to swap their faces onto someone else’s body or vice versa, the independent reported.

One can use the feature through an update. It’s already available on iOS and would gradually roll out on the Google Play store as well.

Snapchat was created by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown when they were students at the Stanford University.

According to Snapchat’s published statistics, as of May 2015, the app’s users were sending two billion photos and videos per day, while Snapchat stories content was being viewed 500 million times per day. In November 2015, the number reached six billion sent videos per day.

The company has a valuation of USD10-USD 20 billion, depending on the source. (ANI)
