Sonia Gandhi condemns Ankara bomb explosions

New Delhi, Oct.10 : Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday condemned the twin explosions in Turkey’s capital Ankara in which at least 20 people were killed.

“Shocked and pained at the terror attack in Ankara, Turkey where several people have lost their lives. Express solidarity with the people of Turkey,” said a press statement from Gandhi’s office.

At least twenty people have been killed and dozens of others have been injured in twin explosions that struck a road junction in the centre of Turkish capital Ankara on Saturday.

Turkey’s Dogan News Agency said that unconfirmed reports listed 20 dead with dozens more injured. The attack comes with Turkey on edge ahead of November 1 polls and a wave of unrest over the last months. (ANI)
