SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launched

New Delhi : American aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company SpaceX announced that its Falcon 9 rocket was launched into space but as expected failed to land the vehicle on a drone ship at sea afterward.

This was SpaceX’s fourth attempt to land the Falcon 9, the Verge reported.

“Rocket landed hard. Didn’t expect this one to work … but next flight has a good chance,” Elon Musk, the founder and chief executive officer of SpaceX twitted.

Last month Musk postponed plans to launch the Falcon 9 rocket for the third time due to low thrust alarm.

Headquartered in California, SpaceX was founded in 2002 by former PayPal entrepreneur and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk with the goal of creating the technologies to reduce space transportation costs and enable the colonisation of Mars. (ANI)
