Education Qualification:
Masters/ Bachelors degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Operation Research or related discipline is preferable
Key skills:
5 8 years hands-on experience in advanced data analytics, statistical modelling techniques, business intelligence & consulting
Experience across Regression (Linear/ Logit/ Gamma), Clustering, Non Linear Time Series, Hypothesis testing, OR and Optimization techniques, Fraud Analytics etc
Experience in predictive and prescriptive modelling; with data visualization skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
Ability to work independently and share status updates on work progress
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have strong knowledge of Statistical concepts (i.e. R and SAS)
Job Description:
Work with stakeholders to understand their business problems, translate those problems into data problem, and then provide insight back to the business based on those results
Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts and output to non-experts in both a written and verbal manner
Work on ad hoc analysis to provide insights and recommendations to the business
Uses design and presentation software like PowerPoint, Online visualization tools etc to prepare a comprehensive analysis report
Data mining using advanced knowledge of R and expertise in tools such as R, Tableau and MS Excel
Implementing an advanced statistical approach to innovate and improve the analytical features and metrics in the R platform.
Strong knowledge of forecasting, optimization, classification, segmentation and other statistical or mathematical techniques
Critical thinking skills in formulating hypotheses, interpreting results, and being able to make educated guesses when data may be sparse or unavailable
