Srinagar: Two terrorists neutralised as Army foils infiltration bid in Uri sector

Srinagar: With the nation on high alert on the occasion on Independence Day, the Indian Army on Monday neutralised two terrorists who were attempting to infiltrate in Uri sector of north Kashmir.

A massive search operation is underway to neutralise any remaining hostile elements.

Meanwhile, five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans and one Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel have been injured after terrorists attacked security forces in Srinagar.

The entire area has been cordoned off as two-three terrorists are still holed up and heavy exchange of gunfire is still underway.

Earlier in the day, four low intensity blasts rocked Tinsukia district of Assam, however, no casualties have been reported so far. (ANI)
