Urgent requirement for Staff Nurse in a reputed Hospital
Position: Staff Nurse
Location: Hyderabad and Vijaywada
Qualification: Graduation / Diploma in Nursing, GNM, B.sc. Nursing
Experience: 0-4 years of relevant experience
Job Responsibilities:-
1. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
2. Conducts pre- and post-operative education.
3. Takes and monitors patients vital signs.
4. Ensures that operating on correct patient and the correct procedure is being performed.
5. Provides basic, bedside care.
6. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
7. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications.
8. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
9. Preps operating room for patient/procedure.
10. Monitors patients physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum.
11. Performs other position-related duties as assigned.
Circulating Nurse:- with the following additional duties:
1. Assists in positioning, responding to comfort/safety of patient
2. Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens
3. Observes and enforces strict standards of asepsis
4. Observes, checks and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm they are running smoothly
5. Handles patient documentation
6. Inventories all items both pre- and post-surgery
Scrub Nurse:- with the following additional duties:
1. Selects and handles instruments and supplies used for the operation, passing them to surgeon
2. Inventories all items both pre- and post-surgery
Nurses First Assist:- with the following additional duties:
1. Delivers direct surgical care by assisting physicians
2. Helps control bleeding
3. Provides wound exposure
4. Sutures patients after the surgery
Skills Required:-
1. Good written, verbal communication skills.
2. Computer skill with experience of using MS office (word, excel etc).
3. High energy levels.
4. Multi tasking & alert.
