State BJP leaders rejoice over party win in Assam

Telangana State BJP leaders today celebrated party’s landslide in Assam State where the party is going to form the government for the first time in North East.

A large number of party leaders and workers gathered at the State party office here and celebrated the party victory by distributing sweets, dancing and by the bursting crackers. The party MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy beat the drums.

Addressing the media later, Dr Laxman said the election results of five States, particularly Assam results, showed that the people have supported the development work of the BJP government and they voted in support of the Centre’s programs. The BJP belongs to all classes and Assam election results are a fitting reply to the Congress and Left parties which tried to portray that the BJP belongs to one community. Even Muslims in Assam voted and supported BJP, Laxman said.

The election results of five States also show that the BJP is a national party and Congress has become a regional party, he quipped. BJP victory would give a new strength and it will work like a tonic to workers of the party in the country, particularly in Telangana, the State party chief said and expressed hope that the party would win in Telangana in future.

The election results also show that the people have supported the slogan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who appealed people to make the country “Congressless (Congress Mukt) nation”.

Criticising the TRS government in the State, Dr Laxman questioned as to why KCR has changed the design of Pranahita project which has to get national status. Is it not true that KCR has changed the design for the interest of contractors, he questioned. Khairtabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy has alleged that KCR was talking irresponsibly and Telangana people would teach him a lesson. KCR will meet the Prime Minister, but not meeting BJP MLAs, he remarked.

In a sarcastic manner, Reddy demanded that a white paper be issued by KCR as how many days he spent in his farm house and secretariat. BJP has administration in 600 districts across the country whereas KCR is ruling only 10 districts. Uppal MLA NVSS Prabhakar and other leaders were also present. (NSS)
