Both State, Centre deceiving Dalits, tribals: Chada

Alleging that the State and Central governments were deceiving Dalits and tribals, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy has said that the attacks on them were increasing day after day after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the nation in the name of ‘Go Samrakshana’.

           

Dalitha Hakkula Porata Samithi (DHPS) and Telangana Girijana Samakhya Rashtra Samithi meeting was held in Makdhoom Bhavan here on Friday. Participating in the meeting, Chada alleged that the KCR government was creating fear among the tribals, who were resorting to mobile (podu) agriculture, with PD Act in the name of Forest Rights Act.

           

Alleging that the SC, ST Sub-Plan was not being implemented in the State properly, Chada pointed out that not a single SC, ST unemployed youth were benefited with the loans being given under self-employment scheme. The KCR government failed to distribute 1000 acre land to daliths as assured by the Chief Minister during elections that he will distribute three acre land to each dalith family. The Chief Minister also failed to stick to his word that he will construct double bed room houses to the poor. But the Chief Minister was issuing statements in the newspapers that he will construct double room houses to all poor people, he alleged.

           

DHPS national convener and former MLA Gunda Mallesh said that the Modi government was doing injustice to the daltiha girijans in the country. The poor students were distancing from the higher education due to non release of scholarships and fees reimbursement arrears in the State, Mallesh lamented. He called upon the daliths and tribals to wage a movement against the government for peoples Telangana and not for Banagaru Telangana.

            Girijana Sangam Samakhya state general secretary Anjaiah Nayak, state leader Rammurthy, Srinu, Bandaru, DHPS president T Prabhakar, CPI state executve member Erla Narsimha, secretary B Sailu, vice-president Esu Ratnam, state assistant secretary Gelvaiah, state leader Raju, Mallesh and others participated in the program.
