Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that state economy is proving handy with as state owned revenue is put at 15 per cent high and steps are on to integrate the resources for reaching the targets of completing projects and welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister informed the house that there is no need of panic for loans and state loans are pegged at 16.1 per cent while per capita income is 19 per cent of per capita income. State growth good Revenue growth 15 per cent and will surpass Rs 2 lakh cr budget by 2019-20 he exuded confidence. He also touched upon that the state is get about Rs 14000 cr loans and get about Rs 3000 cr more on raising cap of FRBM limit to 3 .5 per cent. KCR said that all manifesto promises will be kept in phased manner.
Vouching for speedy completion of the flagship programs of Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, he said that Palamur and other irrigation schemes will be completed in the Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda and other districts by spending funds. KCR stated that perennial drought problem will be addressed, despite poor help from the Centre, and give a total of Rs 600 cr towards input subsidy. Fees reimbursement inherited by Andhra Pradesh government and will be cleared soon on monthly basis. Lands sale will add to revenues for state growth and will augment projects on hand for sustainable growth and for better future of posterity. Refusing the comments that people are against the government policies, he said that elections reflected mood of people. Recently held bypolls and Civic body elections spoke the volumes of how the people are in support of the state government, KCR said.
Irrigation, water, power key for growth
Painting a rosy picture ahead as the government is according top priority to key sectors like irrigation, drinking water, power and jobs for youth with adequate funds, leader of the house and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today asserted that budgetary allocations are factual and proposals are made suitably for Rs 1.30 lakh cr for 2016-17.
KCR informed the house that irrigation, water, power sector key for growth and complete projects avoiding fight with neighbouring states to irrigate 1 cr acres and spend Rs 1.50 lakh cr in 5 yrs. Chanaka Korata projects will replace Lower Penganga to improve irrigation he said adding that safe water through Mission Bhagiratha will be implemented in nine Assembly segments. Extending thanks to members for their opinions on the budget presented by Finance Minister Etala Rajender, KCR stated that 40 issues were debated but not fruitfully. Though being young state the government prepared the budget by taking experts inputs and advices he said and refused the comments of jugglery of numbers in the budget. Giving reply to the members of all political parties in the house on budget here on Tuesday, we will build 2 lakh double bedroom houses for the poor this year and will give two other categories to different income groups in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a pat to the state government for its improved performance in financial, revenue and other sectors he said. (NSS)
