State failed to provide help to rain victims: Ravula

Telangana TDP politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy has alleged that the TRS government totally failed to provide relief to victims of heavy rains which inundated several areas in the city.

Speaking to mediapersons at NTR trust bhavan here on Friday, Ravula said the relief being provided by the government was just an eye wash as it is indulged in propaganda. “The people of Greater Hyderabad were facing problems following rains and the State government failed to take precautions despite warnings by Met office. Besides, the GHMC authorities were unable to do anything due to lack of funds, he alleged.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, instead of giving orders from Delhi should release funds also, Ravula demanded. KCR left for Delhi without taking any precautionary measures despite forecast by Met office that heavy rains may lash the capital city, the TDP leader alleged. He exhorted his party leaders and workers to extend help to the rain havoc victims, who were facing problems following inundation of their houses in heavy rains.
