State govt. to introduce e-pattadar passbooks for property owners

Hyderabad: Even before the central government implements e-property passbooks, state government has decided to issue e-pattadar passbook to land owners on state level.

According to the officials of revenue department, state government will collect the record of land owners. By best utilising the technology, the government has decided to collect the details of the property owners and issue pattadar passbook.

According to reliable sources state government has decided to find out how many people are owners of the land. It also wants to identify genuine property owners and Benami properties, after consultation with revenue officials.

The Revenue Department has already undertaken the massive exercise of digitising land records to facilitate online issue of pattadar passbooks. This would ensure transparency and speedy disposal of title deeds.

As reported by Telangana Today, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali revealed that after digitisation of records, land owners can visit the Maa Bhoomi website to get their passbook. An OTP will be sent to their registered mobile number to download the e-passbook.
