State not honoring promises of reopening sugar factory: Jeevan Reddy

CLP deputy leader T Jeevan Reddy today charged the TRS government of not honoring its assurance of reopening the old sugar factory in Jagityal.

Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Saturday after adjournment of the House, Jeevan Reddy reminded that the State government asked him to run the sugar factory when he raised the issue in the House. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had given an assurance in this regard three months ago. Jeevan Reddy explained that TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has addressed a letter to the Chief Minister asking him to convene an all-party meeting in this regard. Unfortunately, the management closed down the running factory without considering the 49 percent of shares of the State government. He also alleged that the State government was contemplating to sell the Nizam Sugar Factory. (NSS)
