Stockholm airport evacuated after ‘explosive powder’ found

Stockholm: Parts of Skavsta Airport in Stockholm was evacuated on Sunday after traces of an explosive powder was allegedly found in bag during the security check.

The departure lounge of the airport has been evacuated while a bomb squad has been rushed to investigate the matter, reported AFP. The bag in question reportedly belongs to an elderly lady, who has claimed that she has no knowledge about the suspected substance in her bag.

The inbound flights are, however, still being allowed to land at the airport. The airport is now awaiting clearance from the police to re-open the terminal and resume air traffic.
