Stop projecting Modi as ‘Rockstar’: Shobha De

On Monday night, well-known writer and columnist, Shobha De took to micro-blogging site and tweeted, “Can we please stop referring to India’s Prime Minister as a ‘Rockstar’!!!! Hello! Dubai. He isn’t from Bollywood!”

Shobha De, who is known for making controversial remarks on micro blogging site Twitter, has become the latest victim and invited ire from the Modi-bhakts for her “Rockstar” remarks since her statement did not go well with them and was trolled on social media.

Many started commenting on her Twitter profile stating, “People from Bollywood are film stars, not rockstars.”

Over 50,000 enthusiastic Indian disapora gathered to see Modi when he attends the ‘Marhaba NaMo’ ceremony, which was organised especially for him in Dubai on Monday, Aug 17.
