On the representation of Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan, MFC has released central government scholarship for minority students. Minority students of Telangana were deprived of pre & post matric and merit cum means scholarship provided by the centre for the past 3 months. Students and their parents invited Mr. Zahed Ali Khan’s attention towards the matter on which Mr. Khan wrote letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptulla and Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani.
In the letter Mr. Khan expressed concern over non issuance of scholarship to minority students even as the academic year has passed. The letter was sent to the union ministers on March 2 and as per the information, the amount was released yesterday. Several students reached Siasat and acknowledged about the receipt of scholarship amount.
