New Delhi: Sugar prices slipped by Rs 10 per quitnal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following fall in demand against ample stocks on increased supplies from millers.
Marketmen said slackened demand from bulk consumers and retailers, mainly led to decline in sweetener prices.
Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices fell by a similar margin to close at Rs 3,600-3,700 and Rs 3.590-3,690 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Mawana, Dorala, Asmoli and Simbholi faded by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,650, Rs 3,640, Rs 3,650 and Rs 3,680 per quintal respectively.
