Johannesburg: Former South Africa spinner Pat Symcox has slammed his country’s present state of affairs in cricket.
The current state of South African cricket seems to be in trouble as the national team are struggling against England and the Under-19 team are suffering a humiliating defeats in World Cup in Bangladesh.
Expressing his disappointment about the same on Facebook, the 55-year-old wrote that it was quite frustrating to see the U-19 team losing the match against Zimbabwe, Nambia and Bangladesh.
Symcox, who appeared in 20 Tests and 80 ODIs for South Africa, further lashed out at the country’s current state of cricket, saying that there might be much more `uselessness` to see next year.
Earlier, South Africa suffered a humiliating 0-3 defeat in a Test series against India before losing a home Test series 1-2 to England.
The Proteas are also trailing 1-2 against England in the five-match ODI series.The two sides will now play the fourth match in Johannesburg on Friday. (ANI)
