T Hub launch Startups should compete at world level: Ratan Tata

Noted for encouraging startups among the IT Spectrum across the country, rather across the globe, Tata Group of Companies Chief Rathan Tata today emphasized the need for encouraging startups in chosen sectors to vie among themselves at national level compete with world leaders. Participating in an inaugural program of T Hub constructed at Rs 40 cr at HICC here, Tata appreciated Telangana Government for the facility.

The T Hub will accommodate 800 staff of 200 startup companies who are into wide array of sectors including robotics, mobiles, data analytics, cyber security, health protection and agriculture and come up with innovative products. Governor ESL Narasimhan, Nasscom chief BV Mohan Reddy, IT Minister KT Rama Rao and Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma were present. Speaking on the occasion Tata stated that entrepreneurship, enterprises and innovation are a key for the chosen sector to witness rapid growth and sustainable development.

Stating that the US encouraged entrepreneurship in 80’s he said that the scientists play key role in national building and idea to promote innovation is good. Enterprises and entrepreneurship will go hand in hand to do wonders as latent talent and ideas will together bring new products.

Giving pat to KTR as a dynamite leader, Narasimhan said that he was surprised to see at the T Hub facility built in short span of time. It is better if KTR takes along the rural talent as the government plans to encourage engineering students form the cities and towns the governor said. He also asked the minister to focus on education, health sectors and basic facilities at rural areas, besides promoting startups in the city with the new facility.

KTR said innovate, incubate and incorporate together make a new mantra for encouraging startups to make ample use of young ideas and innovative thoughts to come out with the best products to compete at international level. We are getting tremendous response from the US and elsewhere for the T Hub he said. The State Government will construct a second T Hub facility by spending Rs 150 cr in 15 acres of land in Rayadurgam area. T Hub now allotted space to120 companies and another 200 companies awaiting permissions to begin their businesses. A plan is on cards to increase the capital of Rs 10 cr to Rs 100 million dollars.

Nasscom Chief BVR Mohan Reddy said that entrepreneurships is the best idea to produce new products to surpass others at world level. India has millions of minds and billion people will have their say at the chosen domain.(NSS)
