Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said the Telangana society can never forget Prof. K Jayashankar, who relentlessly worked for achievingTelangana State in his entire life.
Recollecting Telangana ideologue Dr Jayashankar’s efforts for separate State on his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said the former had sacrificed his entire life in spreading the separate Telangana statehood concept among the people from the time Hyderabad State merged with Andhra State till the second phase of separate Telangana movement. He said Dr Jayashankar would continue to remain a guiding spirit for the Telangana society.

Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) today celebrated the birth anniversary of Telangana ideologue Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar in Metro Rail Bhavan, Begumpet. Recalling the contribution of Acharya Jayashankar, all the officers, engineers and staff of HMR paid respects to the great visionary of Telangana State.

TSRTC also celebrated Prof. Jayashankar’s birth anniversary in Bus Bhavan. TSRTC Managing Director G V Ramana Rao garlanded portrait of Prof. Jayashankar and paid rich tributes. Recalling indefatigable efforts of Prof. Jayashankar for the cause of formation of Telangana State, the HMR Managing Director praised the main role played by Prof. Jayashankar, who fought for separate Telangana State throughout his life.
Ramana Rao said everyone should work hard for achieving Bangaru Telangana as wished by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and advised every employee of TSRTC to follow the ideals of great leaders and strive for development of corporation.
